Detecting where the clip has been dropped. So far we’ve created a draggable window, with masked content that we can drag outside of the window using a dummy clip. All this is great, but it’s no good to anybody if we don’t know where the clip has been dropped. In Psycho Studio, I needed to know if it had been dropped on the preview window or on the timeline. Let’s take the timeline as example. The timeline is made up of two movie clips. The first one is the parent movie clip, which is the basic timeline window. Inside this movie clip is another movie clip, which I’ve called frames. This movie clips actually contains thiry-one identical movie clips, and in fact it’s the same dummy clip we used in the previous steps, containing all thirty-one thumbnails.
